A genalogical history of my father's family tree. Surnames include: Plummer, Boughner, Barnes, York, and Frakes. I will discuss my genealogy research and my genealogical conclusions. My great grandfather's brother, Oliver P. Boughner, and my great-great grandmother's brother, John Clark fought for the Union's 16th Kentucky Regiment. One of the battles that they fought in was the Battle of Franklin.
My great-great grandfather also fought at Franklin. My understanding is that, up to that point in the war, the Battle at Franklin was the worst battle of the war. Very sad to read about.
